Happsy Organic Mattress Materials & Design
Next, the wool is bound together with a resin called urea formaldehyde, which is considered to be the safest bonding agent for natural materials.
On top of that, the bed is wrapped in a water-based, low-static polyethylene sheath.
Last, but not least, the entire bed is topped with a layer of high-density foam that provides a gentle, responsive foundation for your sleep.
- Cover – The mattress has an organic cotton cover that’s soft to the touch.
- Comfort layer –An aerated 2” organic latex foam covered in organic wool batting
- Support layer –8 ” Pocketed coils allows for better airflow, added support, durability, and isolates motion.
- Foundation layer –This mattress was made from organic cotton fibers. Organic cotton shreds as part of its commitment to create one of the best mattresses for health-focused lifestyles.
Happsy Mattress Cover
As for design, the last thing to discuss is that Happsy has an organic cotton cover.
You will notice that it’s a little more coarse than the average cover out there.
It’s not as stretchy or elastic as some other covers out there.
The cover isn’t machine washable, so if you happen to spill something on it, you’ll need to wipe it off with a clean, damp cloth.
Happsy Firmness And Feel
Happsy is generally described as a firm mattress broadly speaking, but we rate it as a medium-firm (without the topper).
That is according to the average person in America (anywhere from 160 lbs to 210 lbs).
However, firmness is a range because it’s subjective based on a person’s weight.
The heavier you are, the softer Happsy will feel.
With the optional topper, Happsy goes from a 10″ latex hybrid mattress to a 12″ one.
The latex foam in the bed offers pressure relief, but mainly it provides bounce and resiliency.
The latex foam will offer pressure relief, but primarily the benefit you get from this type of foam is resilience and responsiveness.
The bed will have a springy, durable feel that not many online beds offer.
That said, Happsy doesn’t feel as soft and contouring as a lot of the other bed-in-a-box mattresses.
There are tradeoffs with everything.
Is Happsy Mattress Good For Couples?
Whether you have a partner or you’re single, there are some additional considerations before buying a bed.
Here’s how the Happsy organic mattress performed in these categories.
The first thing to consider is motion isolation.
This is the worst aspect of the mattress. It doesn’t deaden movement as well as, for example, a gel memory foam mattress.
If you sleep on your side, or if you have the option of sleeping on your side, you may be able to reduce motion transfer by placing a pillow between you and the Happsy mattress.
If you’re a highly sensitive sleeper, you should look into the optional topper or buy a larger size.
You might find that the movement transfers less with a mattress with a spring system.
The next element is “edge support,” and it refers to the strength (or lack thereof) of the perimeter of your mattress.
Happsy has edge support that is basically equal to most other latex hybrid mattresses out there.
We don’t think it will be necessary to “size up” with Happsy due to the edge support.
The Happys mattress does offer a very soft feel and contour, though it is also firm enough to support the heavier body.
It is not designed to provide a deep cradle for the body like memory foam, which is more suitable for lighter sleepers.
So, if you are a side sleeper and have a little more weight, you may want to consider this mattress.
Temperatures are important factors when choosing your mattress, especially if you tend to sleep hot.
The Happsy is one of the coolest mattresses on the market. It has all the characteristics of organic latex.
The latex in the Happsy is very breathable and will dissipate heat more effectively than most other mattresses.
The bed uses several innovative features to provide a great night’s sleep.
The coil mattress, for example, regulates the temperature inside the mattress while the latex topper promotes air circulation.
It has been certified to last for up to 20 years.
The mattress also has no-allergen, hypo-allergenic material.
This bed is ideal for couples looking for a comfortable, versatile mattress that will allow you both to move comfortably from one position to another.
It’s great for partners who prefer a softer more supportive mattress for sex, and it’s also quite popular among couples seeking a supportive mattress for everyday use.
You and your lover should have no trouble using the entire surface of the mattress however you see fit.
The pocketed coils are very quiet. This makes the Happsy a discreet bed for sex if the two of you want a little extra privacy.
As you shop for a new mattress, pay attention to your primary sleeping style.
Consider that when you choose a mattress, it should be one that is comfortable for you, regardless of whether you are a back sleeper, a side sleeper, or somewhere in the middle.
Average weight sleepers and combination sleepers will like the latex on the top layer of the mattress.
It will be a bit more contouring for your shoulders and hips if you need it.
If you need it, you should consider adding an additional 2-inch latex layer with the optional topper.
This mattress is one of the best for most back sleepers.
It’s a medium-firm feel, which suits a lot of sleepers.
It’s very easy to contour to the posterior and back and next to keep the spine straight.
Average weight stomach sleepers should notice the latex layer curve around their stomach, while also offering support at the hips or shoulders.
Petite Or Average Weight
Average-sized or petite individuals – (those who weigh more than 150 lbs) are fine on the Happsy mattress.
However, smaller individuals under ~100 lbs exert less pressure on the mattress, making the bed feel softer than it is.
The Happsy mattress is already a soft bed, so we would only recommend it for back and stomach sleepers who are smaller than average.
We typically recommend that heavier folks (more than 250 lbs.) opt for a mattress with coils because they’re generally more durable than all-foam constructions. The Happsy mattress includes a layer of pocketed coils, so we think it should be fine for heavier people.
Also, when people weigh more, they generally sink deeper into the surface they are resting on, making it feel softer than it actually is.
A study found that people who slept on a medium-firm surface felt about 7% firmer than those who slept on a soft surface.
The Happsy mattress is a medium-firm, so it should provide just enough give without being too soft or firm.
Happsy Bed Pricing
The Happsy queen size mattress is relatively affordable as a standalone mattress. It may be a bit more expensive than other mattresses if you choose the non-latex option, but the added cost of the topper is well worth it.
