The cover of the Snuz mattress is made up of Polyester and Rayo.
Designed to keep you comfortable and cool while you sleep, this knitted cover has a few additional purposes:
- Improves soil release
- Provides anti-static properties
- Provide anti-dustmite properties
7-Zone Polyurethane Layer
The first layer of the Snuz mattress is made up of a porous, 7-zone polyurethane.
This top layer is 2″ thick, and provides you pressure relief in both your shoulder and hip areas.
Because of this, you will notice that you will not be as restless, and will achieve a higher quality of sleep.
This layer is grooved, offering more ventilation and cooling.
In addition, it acts as a separation between you and the memory foam layer. (Another cooling feature)
Graphite Infused Memory Foam
The 2nd layer of 3, is the graphite infused memory foam.
Memory foam layers are responsible for the support and contouring of your body, and the Snuz seems to fair really well when it comes to this.
This layer is 2″ thick, and not only offers support, it is also designed to whisk away moisture and helps prevent odors if you tend to sweat in your sleep.
High Density Foam Layer
The final of the 3 layers is the support layer, or the “high density foam layer”.
This layer is responsible for the stability and durability of the mattress itself.
It is also the thickest of the layers, which is common – being 6” thick in total.
Non-skid Bottom Cover
Now, what’s interesting about the Snuz, is that the bottom of the mattress also has an additional cover.
The bottom cover is zippered and made from heavy duty materials.
The purpose of the bottom cover is to help prevent the mattress from sliding on the foundation or platform.
This cover can be removed for easy cleaning.
Snuz uses only CertiPUR-US Certified foams in all of their mattresses.
What this means for you, is that you can rest easy, knowing that your mattress is:
- Made without ozone depleters
- Made without PBDE flame retardants
- Made without mercury, lead and other heavy metals.
- Made without formaldehyde
- Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
- Made without chlorofluorocarbons
- Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)
- Performance tested
Best for Back and Side Sleepers
The Snuz was designed specifically for back and side sleepers, as they make up the majority of sleepers.
The images below, along with the explanation was taken directly from their official website.
“The Snuz Mattress was designed to help back sleepers get the support they need. Our 7-Zone design will give you the right amount of comfort while keeping your lower back supported. Allowing for your body to contour as it should and keep you comfortable.”
“In order for a Side Sleeper to be comfortable, your spine MUST be aligned! Our Snuz Mattress is specifically designed to mold to your body. This allows your shoulders and your hips to get the appropriate comfort while keeping the rest of your body supported.”
Pressure Point Mapping
You can have a look at the images below to see how pressure points are handled with the Snuz mattress.
Because of how the body is shaped, certain parts will always have more pressure than others. However the Snuz does a great job when it comes to offering you pressure relief.
Addresses the 4 Main Complaints of Memory Foam
There are certain things that memory foam mattresses aren’t typically the best for.
However, Snuz actually designed their mattress to excel against the competitors, when it comes to the 4 most common problems.
Pressure Points – As previously stated, Snuz is designed with shoulder and hip zones, which reduces tossing and turning, resulting in a better nights sleep.
Nesting – Your body heat can cause sinkage in many memory foam mattresses. The 7-zone Polymer layer of the Snuz mattress offers the body full support, and prevents this from occurring.
Heat Buildup – Because the cover is woven with a cooling fabric, and there is a 7-zone Polurethane grooved layer right below, the Snuz mattress provides an exceptional amount of cooling, when compared to other memory foam brands.
Perspiration – Snuz uses memory foam that is charcoal infused, which whisks away heat and prevents odor.

If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, there is an additional fee to ship to you.
Your mattress will be shipped within 3 days of ordering. But, there is an additional 10-15 day waiting period if you are in Hawaii or Alaska.
Snuz allows you 100 nights to try out your new mattress.
If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied, you will be issued a hassle free full refund.
I could not find a minimum trial period, but does take time for your body to adjust to a new mattress.

Snuz is right on par with the majority of mattress brands, offering a 10 year limited warranty on their mattresses.
Sure, some mattress brands offer a Lifetime warranty, but 10 years is the average you can come to expect.

The following issues are not going to be covered by the 10 year limited warranty:
- Softness in the foams that do not affect the pressure relief qualities

Snuz Mattress Summary
Snuz really stands out to us as a memory foam mattress.
Simply because they took the most common complaints about memory foam mattresses, and addressed them all with their 7-zone design.
Another stand out to this mattress, is the addition of a bottom cover; which you don’t really ever see.
Factoring in their current pricing, size options and 10 year warranty, this should be a mattress that you consider.
