Shipping Box
It took around 5-7 business days for our Leesa mattress to arrive.
As you can see, the box has a simple design that looks good.
There are handles on the side of the top, for easier lifting. This may sound small, but if you have to haul a mattress upstairs like we do, it is a big deal.
Based off of the weight, we still recommend having a second person to help you move the mattress to where you need it.
Unboxing
When removing the Leesa from the box, you will see that it is rolled tightly, and compressed inside of shrink wrap.
Once the mattress was unfolded and we cut the plastic, it immediately started expanding.
It was around 6 hours before we laid down for the night to try things out.
Off-Gassing
It is not uncommon for mattress-in-a-box brands to produce a little bit of a smell, when removed from the shipping box.
Leesa had a slight odor the first night – however it had completely gone away by the first morning.
You can expect memory foam mattresses to have a smell, that should dissipate within 48 hours.
If this is an issue for you personally, then I suggest playing it safe, and laying the mattress out for 2 days before using it.
Leesa Cover
The cover of the Leesa 10″ memory foam mattress is made up of a Polyester and Lycra® spandex Blend.
The best way I can describe the feel of the cover, is it is similar to the feel of your favorite sweatshirt.
It has a very comfortable feel, and stays cool.
This is because it is designed for breathability, and actually whisks away heat as you sleep.
Comfort Layer
The Leesa 10″ memory foam mattress has a total of 3 layers.
The first layer is known as the Comfort layer.
This layer is 2″ thick of premium foam, and designed for maximum comfort.
It helps you sleep cool, while it provides just the right amount of pressure relief and bounce.
If you are a side sleeper, this layer makes this mattress a solid choice for you.
Recovery Layer
The 2nd of 3 layers is known as the recovery layer.
Made up of 2″ of memory foam, this layer provides contour to your body.
It also assists the first layer in supplying pressure relief. Making sure you sleep comfortable through out the night.
Support Layer
The final layer of the Leesa 10″ memory foam mattress is the support layer.
This layer is 6″ thick, and is responsible for the overall stability and durability of the mattress.
Made up of dense core foam, it is designed for all body types and sleep positions.
Certipur-US Foams
All of the foams used in the Leesa memory foam mattress are CertiPUR-US certified. What this means for you, is that you can rest easy, knowing that your mattresses are:
- Made without ozone depleters
- Made without PBDE flame retardants
- Made without mercury, lead and other heavy metals.
- Made without formaldehyde
- Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
- Made without chlorofluorocarbons
- Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)
- Durability-tested
- Performance tested
Sinkage
For a memory foam mattress, the Leesa was a little more firm than some other options we have tested.
I would rate it a 6 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being firmest)
What this means, is that you will notice there isn’t quite as much sinkage as other brands.
The pic below is the hand test that I perform on all of our hands on reviews.
Since the Leesa mattress doesn’t sink quite as much as other brands, it did feel a little more supportive to me.
It seems to provide contour in all of the right places, while at the same time not making you feel as if you are falling inside of the mattress.
Edge Support
For a memory foam mattress, the Leesa does a fantastic job with edge support.
A lot of memory foam mattresses tend to sink really bad on the edges, making you feel as if you’re slipping off. Leesa does not do this.
This is mainly because it is a little firmer than other memory foam options.
What this means for you, is that you can utilize the whole area of the mattress, without feeling as if the mattress is going to “give”, and make you fall off.
You can lie or sit on the edge of the Leesa mattress in full confidence, knowing that it is going to support you.
Great for All Sleep Positions and Bodyweights
Another standout I noticed with the Leesa memory foam mattress, is that it literally works well despite your weight or sleep position.
Most mattress models are designed to score better for certain body sizes, or certain sleep positions.
With the Leesa, it doesn’t matter if you are 85 lbs, or 385 lbs – this mattress will support you.
Although it may favor back sleepers slightly, this mattress works phenomenal for side and stomach sleepers alike.
If you read many of our reviews, you will notice that not many mattress brands or models can be a “one size fits all”, like Leesa has managed to do with their memory foam mattress.

Leesa also offers financing through Affirm for those who qualify. You can get an APR as low as 0.00%, if you would rather make payments on your new Leesa mattress.
Leesa Shipping and Sleep Trial
Leesa offers free shipping on their line of mattresses by UPS.
What’s great about Leesa, is that they not only ship to the US – they also ship to Canada, UK, as well as Germany.
If you live outside of the US, and you try and order a mattress online, you will see this is very uncommon, and gives Leesa a leg up on the competition.
Once your mattress ships, you should expect to receive it within 3-7 business days.
From there, you have 100 nights to try out your Leesa mattress absolutely risk free.
If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied, Leesa will issue you a full refund and arrange to pickup your mattress, at no cost to you.
*Alaska & Hawaii Customers: There is a $100 fee for returns
Leesa does require that you try the mattress out for a minimum of 30 nights, as it does take some time for your body to adjust.
We would actually recommend you giving it at least 50 nights.
White Glove Service
Leesa does offer a White Glove delivery service at a fee.
For $100, Leesa will have a two man team deliver your mattress, foundation, or bed frame and set it up for you.
They will also remove all of the empty packaging for you.
The team can also remove your old mattress or box spring for you, for an additional $50.
High Rated Reviews
We don’t typically add this section into our reviews, but we felt this was worth bragging about.
Leesa mattress currently has over 12,500 5 star reviews, and has maintained a 4.5 star average after over 20,800 reviews.
Not all mattresses are created equal. Nor is any mattress a “one size fits all”.
For any mattress brand to be able to maintain such a high rating, this speaks leagues about the quality and comfort of Leesa mattress.
Leesa Mattress Warranty
Leesa mattress offers what seems to be the industry standard 10 Year limited warranty on all of their mattresses.
This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser, and can not be transferred.
Also, your warranty will be void if it ever leaves the US, Canada, UK or Germany.
What is Covered
- Deterioration of the mattress resulting in a visible indentation greater than one (1) inch that is not associated with an indentation or sag as a result of an improper or unsupportive foundation or base. Normal wear requires that a purchaser’s mattress be continuously supported by a matching, solid foundation, base, or frame substantial enough to support the mattress and occupant(s).
- Any physical flaw in the craftsmanship of the mattress that causes permanent damage to the memory foam despite proper set-up and normal use.
- Any physical flaw in the craftsmanship of the cover, including seams and zipper assembly. Leesa may, at its own option, repair or replace the cover provided on the mattress. In the event that Leesa replaces the mattress cover, Leesa will replace it with the current style of cover available for the mattress, which may be of a different color, design, or material than the original cover provided.
What is Not Covered
- A normal increase in softness of the memory foam which is normal and does not affect the pressure-relieving quality of the mattress.
- Comfort preference.
- Physical abuse or damage to the structure and / or cover material, including but not limited to, burns, cuts, tears, liquid damage & stains, or soiling.
- Damage from using an improper bed frame, foundation, platform bed, or adjustable base.
- Replacement(s) of another piece in the Leesa sleep system, unless other piece(s) is also defective.
- Product sold by resellers who are not authorized retailers.
- Product sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “comfort return”, “returned”, “previously owned”, or any other similar wording indicating that the product is not “new” or of “first quality”, or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer.
Leesa Mattress Summary
If you are in the market for a memory foam mattress, the Leesa 10″ memory foam is going to be hard to overlook.
We at Mattress Deals Online can attest to the quality and durability of their line. Not only that, but they have the reviews to back up what we said.
If you are a fan of memory foam, but do not prefer “too soft”, this would be a great option, as it is firmer than some other brands we have tested.
What this means for you, is that you do not have to worry as much about having too much sinkage, or weak edge support.
The mattress does a great job of sleeping cool, and limiting motion transfer. So, if you have a partner, they will not disturb you through out the night.
Currently Leesa is offering $50 off + two free pillows
