Level Sleep is a newer bed-in-a-box brand mattress; offering something very unique with their set up.
As opposed to having 1 set firmness level, or even allowing a customer to choose a firmness level, Level Sleep adds a little of each firmness to their mattress.
This mattress is 100% made in the USA, and comes highly recommended by doctors, to help fight back and joint pain.
In this Level Sleep All Foam Mattress review, we at Mattress Deals Online went hands on, to give you our personal opinion after sleeping on the mattress for 10 nights.

Level Sleep Mattress Unboxing
The Level Sleep all foam mattress arrived in about a weeks time, once we decided to do this review.
Although this is probably the least of peoples worries when ordering a mattress online, I was a fan of the shipping box.
Instead of being plain and bulky, it was a charcoal color, with the company logo on all of the sides.
The carrying handles made transporting the mattress up a flight of stairs a lot more convenient than the awkward shaped mattress boxes of some mattress brands, that have no handles.
Once removed from the box, the mattress came rolled up, and held with several layers of shrink wrap.
Once cut from the shrink wrap, we simply rolled out the mattress, and gave it some time to take shape.
The time it takes to take shape will differ from brand to brand. So, it is always recommended to allow 1-2 days.
However, with the Level Sleep mattress, I was able to sleep on it for the first time, just a few short hours later.
The photo illustrated below was taken approximately 1 hour after the unboxing.
Notice there are very few wrinkles left in the mattress, after only a short time of being removed from the box.
This is a sign that the mattress takes shape very quickly.
Level Sleep Mattress Cover
You can look at the Trisupport mattress and tell that the cover does not look the same across the mattress.
Level Sleep does a great job at accenting where the layers change in the mattress, with their color and design scheme.
The cover of the all foam mattress is made out of 4 way stretch polyester, and is designed to be thin, yet very durable.
It is also responsible for the comfort and breathability of the mattress. The mattress cover is washable, unlike so many mattress brands.
It can simply be unzipped and removed when it needs cleaning.
This is a pleasant step up from most mattress brands, that only recommend spot cleaning with a mild detergent.
Next we will take a look at each firmness level, where I will illustrate a close up of each layer.
“System” was my personal way of describing the unique setup of the Level Sleep mattress.
The mattress has 3 sections, using a different firmness level to support certain body parts.
To give you a better understanding of this, have a look at the photo below. (This photo is from their official website)
Let’s break down the 3 sections, and talk a little about what each one does.
The top portion of the Level Sleep all foam mattress is known as “LEVELsoft”.
It is the softest section of the mattress, and is designed to offer support and pressure relief to your shoulders.
I was personally a big fan of this section, because I prefer a softer mattress in general.
As someone who has had shoulder problems for years, it was nice to feel as if my head and shoulders were being cradled as if my whole upper body was sleeping on a pillow.
This section of the mattress has a really soft and soothing feel to it, and the mattress itself is clinically proven to alleviate pain.
The middle section of the mattress is known as LEVELfirm ; which I can attest to that being accurate.
This layer is not in the middle of the mattress per say. It starts around your upper back, right below your shoulders, and runs down to the bottom of your layer back.
I found this layer to be significantly more firm than the soft layer.
It does an outstanding job offering support to your lower back while you sleep.
If you suffer from back pain, or are looking a mattress that places a lot of emphasis on proper spinal alignment, then the Level Sleep all foam mattress would be a great choice.
The final section is also the largest section of the mattress, as it supports your hips, all the way down to your feet.
The section is made of a medium firmness foam, and is designed to help align your hips with your spine.
This reduces compression of the soft tissues which improves blood flow, and also prevents hip pain from occurring.
Level Sleep Layers
Level Sleep keeps things simple, when it comes to the inside construction of their mattress.
Where many mattress brands over anywhere from 3-5 layers inside of their product, Level Sleep sticks to 2.
While it is clear that the magic with this mattress is the unique outside design, that so many customer and doctors approve of, they do not come up short inside either.
The inside of the Level Sleep consists of:
Breathable Foam – The top layer is made from performance foams, and is 3″ thick. The purpose of this layer is offer spine support, and is made from open cell non toxic foams.
Foam Base – The bottom layer, also known as the support base is a whopping 7″ thick, helping make the Level Sleep mattress 10″ overall. This layer is the foundation for the mattress, and offers the support of the performance layer above it.
All of the foams used inside of the Level Sleep all foam mattress, are CertiPUR-US certified foams. What this means, is that you can rest easy, knowing that your mattress is
- Made without ozone depleters
- Made without PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants
- Made without mercury, lead and heavy metals
- Made without formaldehyde
- Made without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
- Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)
I wanted to include these photos, so that you can get an idea of how the sinkage differs from each section.
What I did, was simply press down with my hand, in an effort to apply the same amount of weight in each section.
Hopefully you can see that the softer sections of the mattress sink a little further (as they should), but at the same time there is not such a huge difference that the mattress just feels unstable.
This is a big deal because with too much variation between the layers, it would be hard to adequately support the spine while you lay down.

Level sleep does ship to Alaska and Hawaii, however there are additional shipping charges.
Currently, Level Sleep only ships to the United States.
Level sleep also offers a 365 night sleep trial, which blows most mattress brands out of the water, as they are typically 100-120 nights.
You have a full year to try out your new mattress.
If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied, you can simply return your mattress for a full refund.
As always, we recommend that you try out your new mattress for at least 50 nights, as it does take the body time to adjust to a new mattress.
Level Sleep Warranty
Level Sleep offers a Limited Forever warranty, also like their counterparts.
If for any reason in the first 10 years, there is a defect in the materials, or craftsmanship, Level Sleep will completely replace your mattress free of charge.
After year 10, your mattress can be repaired or recovered for a fee.
If a defect in materials or craftsmanship is found, Level Sleep will waive your transportation costs.
The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser, and can not be transferred.
What is NOT Covered
The following is a list of what is not covered in the Forever warranty:
- Liquid damage
- Any damage due to neglect or abuse
Softening of the foam is also not covered, as this is to be expected of memory foam mattresses, and does not harm the pressure relieving abilities.
Level Sleep All Foam Mattress Summary
I was very impressed overall with the Level Sleep mattress.
It has a lot to offer in the mattress industry, and has used its unique design as a way to stand out.
To sum things up, you’re looking at a mattress that is approved by many doctors.
It has been proven to alleviate back and hip pain.
The mattress is made in the USA, allows you a full year to try it for yourself, AND comes with a lifetime warranty.
So, I see no reason for you to not try it out yourself.
It is worth noting that if you prefer an all soft mattress, then you may want to consider other memory foam options.
However, if durability and support is what you’re looking for in a mattress, we give the Level Sleep all foam mattress 2 thumbs up.
